Terms of Service

talk2bud is a native macOS app and the website at talk2bud.com. It is operated by Reach Station Sales Operations, CNPJ 58.431.223/0001-93 (“talk2bud”, “we”, “us”). In these Terms, “you” means the person or organisation using the app or the site.

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and us. By downloading, installing, or using talk2bud, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

talk2bud is software that helps you work by voice. It provides:

• system-wide voice dictation, so you can type by talking in any app;
• call transcription that is captured on your Mac — no bot joins your meetings;
• live AI answers during calls (“Ask”);
• an overlay that you can hide from screen sharing;
• an AI assistant that works over your transcript history;
• optional team Channels (Enterprise), where you deliberately share call transcripts with your team;
• cosmetic ghost skins tied to your plan.

We may improve, change, or retire features over time. Where a change materially affects a feature you rely on, we’ll aim to give you reasonable notice.

You can create an account with your email or by signing in with Google. You must be 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live) to use talk2bud. The service is not directed at children under 13.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for the activity that happens under your account. Please tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Plans

Payments are handled by Stripe. Prices are in USD and taxes may apply.

• Basic— $15/month billed annually ($19 billed monthly), 10 hours of calls per month.
• Pro— $39/month billed annually ($49 billed monthly), 30 hours of calls per month.
• Master— $59/month billed annually ($79 billed monthly), unlimited calls under fair use.
• Enterprise— custom, arranged with our team.

Unused call hours roll over for one month. Dictation is not metered.

Free trial

The 10-day free trial requires a payment method. You are charged $0 today. When the trial ends, it automatically converts to the plan you chose unless you cancel first. We send a reminder email before the first charge.

Renewals, cancellation & refunds

Plans renew for their billing term until you cancel. You can cancel anytime — see our Cancellation Policy. Refunds are handled case by case as described in our Refund Policy.

Consent rules vary. Some places require only one party to consent to a recording; others require everyone on the call to consent. This differs by US state and by country. It is your job to know and follow the rules that apply to your calls.

Hiding the overlay from a screen share is a display feature. It does not waive, satisfy, or reduce any consent obligation you have.

talk2bud provides software, not legal advice. If you’re unsure what the law requires, seek your own legal counsel.

Acceptable use

When you use talk2bud, you agree not to:

• use the service for any unlawful purpose;
• create, store, or share infringing or harmful content;
• reverse engineer the software, except to the extent the law expressly permits;
• circumvent usage caps or plan entitlements;
• interfere with or disrupt the service.

Fair use (Master / unlimited)

Unlimited plans are for individual human use. The following are not fair use:

• 24/7 or automated recording pipelines;
• account sharing;
• bulk transcription farming;
• reselling access.

We will never interrupt an ongoing call. If we see abuse, we may contact you, degrade your access to standard models, or ask you to move to an Enterprise plan.

We own the talk2bud software, website, and brand — including the ghost. Nothing in these Terms transfers those rights to you.

You own your content: your recordings, transcripts, and notes. You grant us only the limited licence we need to process that content in order to provide the service to you — nothing more.

Transcripts and answers are AI-generated and may be inaccurate. Please verify anything important before you rely on it. talk2bud does not provide professional advice, and its output is not a substitute for professional judgement.

Your transcripts, notes, and call history live locally on your Mac, and audio is streamed only transiently to our AI subprocessors to produce transcription and answers — we don’t retain it as audio. For the full picture of what stays on your Mac and what we store, read our Privacy Policy.

You can cancel anytime through your Cancellation Policy options.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms — for example, unlawful use or abuse of fair use. Where it is reasonable to do so, we’ll let you know and give you a chance to put things right first.

On termination, your right to use the service ends. Data stored on your Mac remains under your control; deleting the app and its data removes it.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, talk2bud is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate. Nothing here excludes warranties that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to talk2bud is limited to the fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your non-waivable statutory rights.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know. If you keep using talk2bud after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Brazilian courts, except where mandatory local law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
